Overflowing is designed to engage youth (grades 6–12) and adults in meaningful conversation about stewardship. Moving beyond money alone, this six-week study explores the broad biblical and theological vision of stewardship as faithful care of all that God has entrusted to us.
We are stewards by design—and stewardship is a spiritual practice.
Rooted in the Study Document (GA 1732) approved by the General Assembly of the Christian Church in 2017, Overflowing offers an accessible entry point into its deeper theological insights. While participants are encouraged to engage the full document (available here in English, Spanish, Korean, and Haitian Creole), this curriculum is designed for small group settings—whether in a classroom, church, or home.
A few practical notes:
- If you are a facilitator (group leader/teacher), download both the Facilitator’s Guide and the Participant Guide.
- If you are an adult participant, simply click on (and download) the Participant Guide, and you will have the curriculum on your electronic device. (No need to push “print” – unless you want a hard copy!)
- Leaders who are utilizing the youth materials simply need to download that version.
Each of the six sessions includes worship, study, and experiential components for a holistic encounter with stewardship. Flexible and adaptable, the materials can be shaped to fit your group.
