A 5-Week Small Group Curriculum
Abundant Living: Rethinking Stewardship invites participants to explore stewardship through the lens of the abundant life Jesus promises. Over five sessions, the study moves beyond stewardship as simply giving money and encourages a broader understanding of how we live faithfully with all God has entrusted to us.

About This Study
This curriculum was originally developed to train teachers through the Academy of Christian Training and Study (ACTS) of the Northern California/Nevada Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). It has since been adapted for use as a small group study, Bible study, or Sunday School curriculum.
We are grateful to Rev. Dr. Ben Bohren and Rev. Sandhya Jha for their contributions to this project and to the Northern California/Nevada Region for the resources that made it possible.
Sessions work best when groups have 60–90 minutes together. If your Sunday School hour is shorter, consider adapting the material or using it in another small group setting.
How to Use This Resource
Each session includes a study guide and video introduction to help leaders guide conversation and reflection.
The study guide provides:
- Suggestions for leading each session
- Resources for deeper exploration and discussion
- Material that can be adapted for your congregation or group
Review each lesson before your gathering so you can choose the activities and additional resources that best fit your context.
Video Introductions
Each session includes a video introduction that you can watch together as part of your gathering.
For the smoothest experience, have the videos ready before your session, especially if you will meet somewhere with limited internet access.
Note: Sessions One and Two each include two videos (Parts A and B), designed to be watched together.
