Living Generously
Whether you preach on generosity year-round or in a particular season, these materials, developed in collaboration with the Proclamation Project, can help. You’ll find four focus texts with exegetical commentary to prompt sermon preparation. Each text is accompanied by liturgical materials that can be adapted for your context. Use the texts in a four-week sermon series or return to them throughout the year. A list of additional texts with brief prompts can inspire storytelling, Bible study, or further preaching ideas.
The Way of Jesus: Generosity, Justice & Service
This 7-week series explores generosity as an essential expression of discipleship—one that shapes how we welcome, serve, and seek justice in the world. Grounded in the teachings and example of Jesus, these weeks move beyond financial giving to generosity as a way of life rooted in God’s abundance. This series calls the church to deeper faithfulness, not only in what we give, but how we live in response to God’s grace. Children’s Sabbath & World Communion Sunday are integrated into this series developed by Rev. Jill Cameron Michel.
