What is Stewardship?
Stewardship is more than asking your congregation to submit a pledge card. It’s not just managing a line-item budget. It’s a whole-life response to a generous God.
Christian stewards, empowered by the Holy Spirit, make conscious, purposeful decisions about how they live — and what they do with what they’ve been given. Stewardship is lived out in:
- Proclaiming and embodying the Good News
- Working for justice, peace, and the care of all creation
- Investing our gifts, relationships, and abilities in what matters most
- Sharing material resources in service, compassion, and solidarity
- Thinking beyond ourselves — to future generations
- Participating faithfully in the life, worship, and mission of the Church
For individuals and communities alike, faithful stewardship and extravagant generosity are joyful acts—offered for the sake of God’s world.
